Here is a complete, platform-agnostic setup tutorial for verifying social media accounts securely.

The Pre-Requisites

Before you start, ensure you have:

  1. The App Installed: Have the social media app (e.g., WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Instagram) downloaded and open on your phone or desktop.

Step 1: Select the Right Number

Not all numbers are created equal. Many social media platforms have strict regional filters.

  1. In the YourOTPs catalog, search for the specific platform you want to verify (e.g., "WhatsApp" or "Telegram").
  2. Crucial Tip: Try to select a number from the same country where you are currently located (or the country of the VPN you are using). Registering a US-based number while logging in from an IP address in Asia can sometimes trigger the platform's anti-fraud systems, causing the SMS to be blocked.

Step 2: Enter the Number in the App

  1. Purchase the number on YourOTPs.
  2. The number will appear on your screen, complete with the country code.
  3. Switch over to your social media app and enter the phone number exactly as shown.
  4. Hit "Next" or "Send SMS" in the app.

Warning: Do not request a "Call Me" option. Temporary numbers generally only support SMS verification.
